Public libraries: PLN 100M for book purchases in 2025
Narodowy Program Rozwoju Czytelnictwa, the National Readership Development Programme, saw a record historical amount of libraries’ own expenses for purchases and remote access to novelty publications. Self-governments have assigned a record amount of PLN 67M to that purpose. Every PLN invested generated further financial means secured by public libraries as a part of the National Library’s support. The investment allows local libraries to buy novelties for a total of PLN 100M.
