Dr. Maciej Szablewski in the CENL working group

The National Libraries’ User Spaces and Services Network Group (NLUSS), earlier acting as International Reading Room Challenges, has officially been recognised as a working group within the Conference of European National Librarians (CENL).
The goal: to increase the role of librarian spaces at national libraries through international co-operation when it comes to innovation, programming of services and user engagement.
NLUSS unites people managing reading rooms and servicing readers at European national libraries. Since October 2024, dr Maciej Szablewski, a plenipotentiary of the Director General of the National Library and the head of the archives has been active there.
NLUSS creates a platform enabling an exchange of experiences and good practices from programming user-friendly services , archive security through the integration of digital and physical solutions. The group’s works include, among others, regular on-line sessions, study tours as well as an on-going exchange of knowledge when it comes to managing reading rooms and services provided to a broad scope of readers.
