Stefan Żeromski: a writer of memories. An exhibition at the National Library
The reading rooms of the National Library kindly invite all interested parties to a temporary exhibition Stefan Żeromski: a writer of memories, dedicated to the distinguished prose writer, publicist and playwright. The exhibition commemorates the 100th anniversary of his death.
The presentation of selected manuscripts from Żeromski’s archives offers valuable insight not only into his works, but also into his personality. It highlights his focus on the significance of memory — documenting and preserving places, people’s fates during times of turmoil, and the fragility and beauty of nature.
Żeromski explored the importance of memory as early as in his youth diaries; one of these, rarely presented to the public, will be featured in the exhibition.
