Delegation from the Book Art Museum at the Palace of the Commonwealth

On Wednesday, 11 March 2026, the National Library od Poland was visited by a delegation from the Book Art Museum in Łódź, accompanied by Acting Director Dr Halina Bernat. The guests had an opportunity to tour the exhibition of the treasures of the National Library presented at the Palace of the Commonwealth.

The delegation was guided by Dr Maciej Szablewski, the Director General’s Plenipotentiary for International Affairs at the National Library and Head of the Collections Access Department. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange experiences related to the protection, presentation and promotion of written heritage.

The Book Art Museum in Łódź is an institution devoted to the art of the book and typographic traditions. It was founded in 1993 on the initiative of book artists and printers, and is housed in the historic villa of Henryk Grohman. The Museum conducts exhibition, educational and publishing activities, promoting book art and the craft of printing.

The exhibitions at the Palace of the Commonwealth are open free of charge to all visitors every day except Tuesdays, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. We encourage you to visit palacrzeczypospolitej.pl, where detailed visitor information is available.
